Emergency Alerts
In our efforts to provide more reliable communications with our citizens, the Town of Pearl River has implemented Smart911 as our Emergency Notification notification provider.
Smart911™ lets residents create a secure Safety Profile and opt in to receive emergency alerts and important notifications from the Town. The system can deliver time‑sensitive messages to people in specific areas or to specific phone numbers and email addresses. Alerts may include information about floods, fires, water emergencies, road closures, missing persons, evacuation orders, and severe weather.
All calls and messages you receive through this system will identify the Town of Pearl River as the sender. Your information is kept private and is used only for public safety purposes by authorized emergency personnel; it will not be sold or shared with outside companies for marketing.
How to sign up and manage your alerts:
- Go to: Smart911
- Click Sign Up.
- Enter your address information and click Continue.
- Confirm your address.
- Confirm your phone number.
- Save your profile.
- Choose how you would like to receive alerts (phone calls, text, email) by checking the boxes and select which types of alerts you want to receive.
- When finished, click Save to store your settings.
Need help or want to update/remove your contact information?
- If you are not receiving alerts, please sign up or log in at the Smart911 link and update your Safety Profile and notification preferences.
- To remove yourself from alert lists, sign into your Smart911 account and uncheck the notification options or delete your profile. You may also contact the Town of Pearl River for assistance.
